The Chicago Project
In collaboration with the Hyde Park Art Center, DePaul University, The Co-Prosperity Sphere, the Southside Hub of Production and the Stockyard Institute–Watie White Studio mounted a multi-location installation of prints and paintings telling the stories of old friends and chance encounters with strangers. Integral to each location was a series of 11-foot tall woodcut portraits of people whom, in my initial meeting, were interviewed and drawn. Their verbatim repsonses are interwoven with their monumental presences. – Watie White
